The NFL community is still reeling over Saturday’s stunning quarterback swap between the Los Angeles Rams and the Detroit Lions, and it appears fans have found a new way to discuss the news: Veronika Khomyn’s Instagram account.
“Not ready to leave paradise 🌴🌸,” she captioned the photos.
Shortly after the shots were uploaded to Khomyn’s page, some followers dropped comments about former Rams quarterback Jared Goff, 26, who was sent to Detroit in exchange for veteran signal-caller Matthew Stafford, 32.
“Where’s Goff,” one commenter posted.
“Thoughts on the new QB?” another asked.
“Coach looks very happy with his new quarterback,” one follower replied.
In addition to Goff — who was the Rams’ first overall pick in 2016 — Los Angeles also sent the Lions two future first-round draft picks and a third-rounder.
Prior to the start of the 2019 season, Goff signed a four-year, $134 million contract extension. With the Stafford trade, the Rams took on a dead cap hit of $22.2 million in 2021.
