At least one member of the Patriots organization is pulling for Tom Brady.
The boss.
Owner Robert Kraft is hoping the future Hall of Famer will lead the Buccaneers past the Chiefs in Super Bowl 2021 and win his seventh ring.
“I’m rooting for Tom Brady,” Kraft said in an interview that will air Sunday on CBS. “I’m so excited. We’ve had some great communications and he is such a special human being. We were privileged to have him here for two decades, and he’s one of the finest human beings I’ve ever met. He knows how to lead, and I wish him well. I really hope he wins Sunday.”
The 43-year-old Brady spent the first 20 years of his career with the Patriots, winning six Super Bowls and leading New England to 17 AFC East division crowns. The two sides went their separate ways this year.
The Patriots struggled without Brady, going 7-9 and missing the playoffs for the first time in 18 years while he shined with the Buccaneers. But Kraft doesn’t seem to hold any ill will against him.
