Epstein financiers forced his victims into arranged marriages, lawsuit alleges

The longtime financiers of Jeffrey Epstein’s estate were hit with a lawsuit by authorities in the Virgin Islands on Wednesday — alleging they facilitated his sick lifestyle by forcing his victims into arranged marriages to secure their immigration to the US.

Epstein preferred women who didn’t speak English because “they spoke less,” according to the updated civil complaint filed by the US Virgin Island’s attorney general, which accuses Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn, the co-executors of Epstein’s estate, of being “captains” in his criminal enterprise.

One of Epstein’s victims was flown by the multi-millionaire pedophile and his business partners from New York to Palm Beach to his private island dozens of times between 2004 and 2017, AG’s office claims in the suit.

“During the latter part of his period, she was forced into an arranged marriage to another victim that was facilitated by Defendant/Co-Executor Indyke to prevent the other victim from being deported,” the complaint states.

Epstein allegedly forced three female American victims into marriage with foreign victims, using a threat of “reputational and bodily harm” if they did not agree to the unions or tried to opt out of them, the suit alleges.

“In each instance, Indyke and Kahn knowingly facilitated the fraudulent and coerced marriages, performing and securing the legal and accounting work involved and enabling a fraud that would further bind Epstein’s victims to him and enable Epstein to continue to control and abuse these victims sexually,” the complaint states.

The updated suit details the experience of several Epstein victims who say they were forced to have sex with the pedophile and his guests on the island.

One unnamed victim said she observed large numbers of girls and young women who did not speak English hanging around Epstein on the island, “which was Epstein’s preference since they spoke less.”

Virgin Islands AAG Denise George says Jeffrey Epstein allegedly operated a sex trafficking ring from his islands Little St. James and Great St. James in the US Virgin Islands.

After he pleaded guilty to soliciting prostitution with a minor in the US in 2008, “Epstein began to focus on procuring and abusing women from Eastern Europe. These women’s immigration status and language barriers made them more isolated, dependent, and vulnerable to Epstein’s abuse and manipulation,” the suit says.

The suit alleges Indyke and Kahn were in charge of virtually every aspect of Epstein’s financial activities, facilitating his sex trafficking and sexual abuse.

As the controllers of Epstein companies such as “Southern Trust,” the pair made “payments to women who were forced to have sex with Epstein and/or recruited others to be victimized,” the suit alleges.

The suit claims that Indyke and Kahn were compensated handsomely throughout their work with Epstein, but the exact totals for how much they were paid is not included in the complaint.

In a statement, a lawyer for both men says they “categorically reject the allegations of misconduct made for the first time today by the Attorney General of the Virgin Islands regarding their purported roles in the so-called ‘Epstein Enterprise.’”

“The facts are clear: neither Mr. Indyke nor Mr. Kahn had any involvement in any misconduct by Mr. Epstein of any kind, at any time,” the statement reads.

“It is enormously regrettable that the Attorney General chose to level false allegations and to unfairly malign the Co-Executors’ reputation without any proof or factual basis to do so.”

The statement says the AG should instead grant their requests to life liens placed on his two Virgin Island properties so they can be sold, and the money can go into the Epstein Victims’ Compensation Program,

“To date, the Estate has funded that Program with over $87 million to pay claims made through it; the Co-Executors continue to diligently attempt to raise additional funds for use in that Program,” the statement reads.

Virgin Islands AG Denise George placed the liens on his assets when she originally brought the civil case against Epstein’s estate in January 2020 — alleging that he had a harem of girls so large that he needed a computer database to keep track of them.

George alleged that Epstein ran a decades-long sex-trafficking ring from his islands Little St. James and Great St. James in which victims, some as young as 11, were lured under false promises and were raped and abused by him and his associates.

The girls were transported to his islands by helicopter, plane and boat to be abused as recently as 2019.

Epstein committed suicide in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges in the Southern District of New York.

His longtime friend and alleged accomplice, Ghisliane Maxwell, is now locked up in a Brooklyn federal jail, awaiting trial on charges for allegedly aiding in the abuse and lying about it under oath. She has pleaded not guilty.
