Police on Tuesday released a photo of the woman who allegedly punched a 2-year-old boy in the face on a Manhattan subway over the weekend.

The toddler was sitting on his mother’s lap aboard a northbound C train at Frederick Douglass Boulevard and West 116th Street in Manhattan shortly after 3 p.m. on Saturday when the incident occurred, cops and sources said.

A female beggar on the train began asking passengers for money and then got too close to the mother, who told her to stay six-feet away, sources said.

The woman ignored and continued by stepping on the mother’s left foot. The mother questioned the suspect, who then began punching the tot, according to cops.

The young boy had redness to the face and was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated.

Cops released surveillance photos of the suspect wearing a white face mask, a beige baseball cap, a plaid shirt, a black coat and jeans.

The 21-year-old mother recalled to The Post on Sunday that no one tried to help her son during the horrible attack.

“Nobody tried to help me,” she said. “I yelled, ‘Someone help me, take the baby!’ No one did nothing to help.”
