PUBG: New State announced for Android and iOS: Futuristic arms, vehicles and more revealed

The popular PUBG Mobile battle royale game is finally getting a successor. The universe will be expanding this time with a new mobile title for iOS and Android called PUBG: New State. The game will still be a multiplayer one but with a futuristic theme. PUBG: New State will be set in 2051 and will have a new map called Troi. In addition, there will be some futuristic weapons as vehicles as well like drones and deployable combat shields. For those who have played Black Ops 4 and 4, this might seem a bit familiar considering the semi futuristic military tech shown in the early images.

The details have not been revealed yet so, it is not for sure what all new arms and vehicles we will see in the game. However, one can be sure that the New State will let users modify their weapon within a match, something like what we have seen in Apex Legends’ weapons attachment.

It’s also worth mentioning that PUBG New State is the third battle royale game under the PUBG umbrella. However, unlike PUBG Mobile, the new state will be developed by PUBG Studio, which is also the company behind PlayerUnknown’s Battleground – the PC and console version of the original game.

For those unaware PUBG Mobile is a separate title developed by Chinese tech giant Tencent. Since PUBG Studio is now under Krafton, which is a South Korea-based game developer, it might be possible that the title may make its way to India. Nothing can be said for sure.

PUBG Studio is also making big promises on “ultra-realistic graphics that push the limits of mobile gaming.” The title will be coming to Android and iOS later this year with alpha tests starting in the next few months.
