Russell Wilson fans flood family post with pleas about his NFL future

Some Seahawks fans are sleepless over Russell Wilson’s future in Seattle.

On Tuesday, the 32-year-old quarterback posted a precious black-and-white photo to Instagram as he enjoyed a sweet moment with daughter Sienna, 3, whom he shares with wife Ciara.

“My baby girl,” Wilson captioned the snapshot.

While the shot has amassed over 105,000 “likes” and counting, some of Wilson’s followers posted messages about the quarterback’s future, days after trade speculation emerged.

“I know hearing the JJ news is scary but please don’t leave us dad,” one fan wrote amid news of JJ Watt landing with the Seahawks’ NFC West rival, the Arizona Cardinals.

“Come to nola,” a presumed Saints fan posted.

“Please don’t leave Seattle,” one fan pleaded.

“COME TO THE COWBOYS,” another stated.

Wilson, who recently wrapped his ninth season with the Seahawks, has not demanded a trade, his agent, Mark Rodgers, told ESPN last week.

If a trade were to happen, Rodgers said Wilson would only play for four teams: the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints. Wilson’s no-trade clause gives him plenty of say over his future.

Recently, the mayor of New Orleans, LaToya Cantrell, made her Saints pitch to Wilson and Ciara, 35.

“I have been hearing the rumors on the streets,” Cantrell posted Saturday to Twitter. “I don’t know if they are true or not. But, I just want @dangerusswilson & @ciara to know that if these rumors are true. Please know that the City of New Orleans will welcome you and your family with open arms! #nola#whodat,” she continued.

Wilson is signed with the Seahawks through 2023 as part of a four-year, $140 million ($70 million guaranteed) contract he agreed to in 2019.

The Seahawks would carry a dead-cap hit of $39 million should they trade Wilson.
