Three strikes and you’re out!
Derek Jeter’s sprawling Tampa mansion where Tom Brady and his family used to live is getting no hits after 190 days on the market, The Post has learned.
The former Yankee and Hall of Famer first purchased the home back in 2005 for $2.3 million. But following a series of extensive renovations, Jeter, 46, is hoping to cash in on a hefty profit.
So far, no such luck.
He first listed the estate in September for a whopping $29 million, after Brady, 43, moved out.
Jeter leased the home to the seven-time Super Bowl champion and his wife, Gisele Bündchen, shortly after he signed on to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
But Brady revealed that they were forced to leave due to an invasion of privacy.
“Where I lived in Chestnut Hill, I was pretty private for a long time,” Brady revealed in an April 2020 interview with Sirius XM’s “The Howard Stern Show.” “So I forgot, in a way, like people could drive up to your house. You couldn’t drive up to my house where I lived in Chestnut Hill. Here, they could pull right up to the back of the house.”
That included boats, which he realized could pull up to his backyard.
“When you walk outside the house you understand everything that goes along with being me,” he said of his often-limited privacy. “I think part of it is, when I come home I want to feel like I can let my guard down and relax.”
Brady went on to explain that they moved into the home after he “had to find a place on really short notice.”
“[Jeter has] been a friend of mine, so we just talked and it all worked out,” Brady said.
Spanning a massive 21,796 square-feet, the home features seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
The waterfront property is located in the upscale Davis Islands community.
Features of the home include a wine cellar, in-home movie theater, professional gym, in-law suite, an au-pair wing complete with a living area and kitchen, outdoor kitchen and grilling area and air conditioned garage large enough to accommodate six cars.
The estate also boasts an expansive clubroom with a full-service bar, a billiards and game table, multiple TVs and a sitting area that comes with the home.
Outdoor amenities include a dock with two boat lifts, heated spa and an 80-foot saltwater lap pool.
And this isn’t the only home Jeter is having difficulty selling. The Yankees legend recently shaved off $2 million on the New York castle he’s had on the market since 2018.
Jeter, who is part-owner of the Marlins baseball team, currently lives in a 19th floor Miami apartment.
