An 80-year-old man was shot by a stray bullet on a Bronx street Monday afternoon, police and sources said.
The victim was struck in the buttocks near the intersection of East 174th Street and Vyse Street in the East Morrisania neighborhood at about 4:45 p.m., police said.
The elderly man was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to cops.
Police sources said a male suspect was aiming at an intended target, but instead shot the innocent bystander.
No arrests were made as of late Monday, according to police.
