A man attacked a stranger with a sharp piece of wood inside a Manhattan train station, cops said.
The 30-year-old victim was walking on the platform at the 50th Street and 8th Avenue station around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday when he passed another man who snapped, “Why the f–k are you looking at me?” police said.
As a northbound E train pulled into the station, the suspect allegedly struck the victim in the back with the stick, causing a cut, authorities said.
The suspect, described as in his 40s and wearing a light blue polo shirt and a black baseball cap, then fled on a northbound train. He was still at large Thursday morning.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
