Authorities have busted a man in New York City who allegedly threatened the leader of the Dominican Republic ahead of the United Nations General Assembly, The Post has learned.
Enrique Figueroa was charged Monday by the FBI with threatening and making interstate threats against Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader, law enforcement sources said.
Further details were not immediately known.
The NYPD referred questions to the FBI.
Heads of state from around the globe are excepted to arrive in NYC this week for the 76th United Nations General Assembly, which kicks off Tuesday.
