Halloween is about to get more treat than trick this year.
Disney’s 1993 classic “Hocus Pocus” is getting the ice cream treatment this October when Carvel launches three new shakes inspired by the flick.
The limited-edition milkshakes are out now and will be available through Halloween. Carvel is partnering with Disney’s Freeform, which will be airing “Hocus Pocus” as part of their annual monthlong 31 Nights of Halloween event. The cult film is a Halloween staple shown every year during the channel’s annual lineup.
Each treat starts at $4.79 and is named after one of the Sanderson sisters from the film. The iconic cast included Bette Midler as Winifred Sanderson, Sarah Jessica Parker as Sarah Sanderson and Kathy Najimy as Mary Sanderson.
The ice cream chain describes the bewitchingly delicious treats as:
- Winnie’s Glorious Cake Batter Shake: Carvel’s cake batter ice cream blended into one glorious potion, topped with whipped cream and orange sprinkles
- Sarah’s Chilling Churro Shake: A spooky blend of Carvel’s Churro Crunchies and cinnamon-sugar churro ice cream, topped with whipped cream and yellow sprinkles
- Mary’s Divine Cookies & Cream Shake: A delicious divination of cookies and cream pieces, blended with Carvel’s classic vanilla soft serve and topped with violet sprinkles
Each of the milkshakes comes complete with a special “31 Nights of Halloween x Hocus Pocus” cup and spoon.
If fans can’t get their “Hocus Pocus” fix by sipping colorful shakes through bendy straws, they can also pick up something else. Fans can now whip up recipes inspired by the magical comedy by grabbing “The Unofficial Hocus Pocus Cookbook: Bewitchingly Delicious Recipes for Fans of the Halloween Classic.”
The cookbook is written by Bridget Thoreson and is full of tasty recipes, including Baked Witch Casserole, Mischief Night Pasta, Bones of 100 Chickens, Mother’s Scorpion Pie, Life Potion Soup, Burning Rain of Death Punch and Airhead Virgin Mocktail.
