Arch Manning seems to be narrowing down his list of schools.
The 2023 five-star quarterback, who’s in his third season at Isidore Newman High School in Louisiana, is a big fan of the Texas Longhorns.
The junior spoke highly of Steve Sarkisian and the team in an interview after Isidore Newman’s’ 59-7 win over Pearl River on Friday.
“Obviously they are great in offense, offensive-minded,” Manning told Orangebloods.com about Texas and Sarkisian — admitting that Austin feels like “home.”
“They haven’t punted in two games. So, they’re really good, and they’re just laid back, good people,” he explained. “That’s the kind of guys I like.”
Manning now has 871 yards passing and 12 touchdowns this season — bringing his career numbers to 5,231 and 67.
Georgia and Texas are two schools Manning is reportedly considering,
Manning visited Tuscaloosa on Saturday to watch Alabama beat Ole Miss 42-21. He’s set to visit Ole Miss on Oct. 23, along with the University of Texas and Clemson University at some point.
Last month, Manning visited Georgia for the Bulldogs’ 40-13 win over South Carolina.
