Don Meij dished out quite a lot of dough for the latest addition to his real estate portfolio.
The Domino’s Pizza CEO, forked over $20.9 million for a 17,200-square-foot mansion in Bel Air.
Built in 2015, the estate is made up of eight bedrooms and 15 bathrooms and is situated on over half an acre of land.
The Italian-style villa boasts vistas of the Stone Canyon Reservoir.
Upon entry, through the double doors, is a soaring foyer complete with ornate stone and woodwork finished that leads to the expansive formal living room, dining room and wood-paneled office. All three rooms come with French doors that open to the outside terraces and views of the reservoir, according to the listing.
Features include a gourmet kitchen, a den with coffered ceilings, an elevator, all wrapped in smart-home technology.
The primary ensuite bedroom is described as “resort-like” and includes dual bathrooms and closets, with an outdoor balcony featuring city views.
Amenities on the lower level include an indoor pool and spa with stained glass decor, a home theater, billiard room, and a climate controlled wine cellar, the listing notes.
It also comes with a subterranean garage to hold several cars.
The grounds host several patios, manicured lawns, an outdoor kitchen and an infinity edge pool.
Meanwhile, Meij, 52, recently sold his Aspen home in the mountains for $10.3 million he purchased back in 2013 for nearly $3.4 million.
Hailing from Australia, Meij started his pizza journey back in 1987 working as a pizza delivery driver in Redcliffe, Queensland. His love for the business earned him his way to the top.
He went on to hold various management positions with Silvio’s Dial-a-Pizza and Domino’s Pizza. Later he came to own and operate 17 Domino’s stores before eventually selling them to the company in 2001.
In May 2005, Meij led Domino’s to become Australia’s first publicly listed pizza chain on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). He now holds the position as Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Domino’s Pizza Enterprises.
Last month, Domino’s delivered first drop in US sales in more than a decade.
