Here you can find a pup with a heart of gold.
Dozens of adorable rescue dogs and cats will be up for grabs at a pet adoption drive held at a Long Island jewelry store Thursday.
The annual “Champions for Charity” event at London Jewelers’ Manhasset store will help lovable pooches including Yorkies, Labradors and mutts find fur-ever homes.
“There will be some beautiful small dogs
and a wide array of mixed breeds,” said Candy Udell of London Jewelers, which teamed up with the Rescue Paw Foundation for the event.
There will also be some cats up for adoption, along with plenty of pet accessories and art for sale, she said.
“I have an artist coming who will commission a sculpture of your dog, and I’m going to have great food,” Udell said.
At the holiday-centric drive, 25 percent of jewelry shop purchases will go to the Rescue Paw Foundation, which is dedicated to matching dogs and cats with loving New York families.
Last year, the charity helped dogs including terriers and Shih Tzus leave behind ruff lives amid a COVID-19-fueled uptick in pet demand.
The pet-friendly fun will be unleashed at 2046 Northern Blvd in Manhasset from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m on Thursday.
