I don’t regret my $2,000 Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer tattoos

This Aussie has some killer tattoos.

Britnee Chamberlain, a 28-year-old who hails from Sydney, isn’t shy about showing off her ink — which includes work down her left arm, above her right hip and down her right leg. But it’s the latter body part that’s to die for because it’s where she has her most controversial designs.

On her thigh, she sports a portrait tattoo of the late serial killer and rapist Ted Bundy — with a quote alongside that reads, “I don’t feel guilty for anything. I feel sorry for people who feel guilt,” which Bundy — who killed at least 20 women in the 1970s — once told an investigator.

Just below that lies her favorite piece, which shows a portrait of the late serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer — who murdered 17 men and boys from the 1970s to the 1990s. “If you can’t beat ’em, eat ’em,” reads a quote next to his image, which shows him holding a brain.

Chamberlain, from Sydney, has spent about $2,000 on the serial killer work down her right leg.

Chamberlain, in an interview with the Daily Star, said she’s spent about $2,000 on these tattoos — which each required nine hours of work by artist Damien Wickham — and she wants more. Specifically, four more serial killer tattoos, including one for London’s still-unidentified Jack the Ripper and Ed Gein.

Chamberlain, the CEO of a start-up called Vocalised, told the publication she doesn’t care what others think of her ink, which she simply refers to as “#serialkillertattoo” on social media.

Her Ted Bundy portrait comes complete with a quote that he told an investigator after being arrested.

“If I was worried about what others think, I wouldn’t be staying true to myself and living a life of authenticity,” she said. “People are always going to have their own opinions, but who is to say any of those opinions or choices are right or wrong? Having these displayed on my body is solely for my own personal meaning, as is for someone who has a beloved pet, initials of a loved one or perhaps a silly joke tattooed on theirs.”

That doesn’t mean Chamberlain’s a serial killer herself, or that she’s seeking to honor these men. Being obsessed with serial killers sparked her interest in studying forensic psychology — and she’s driven to understand how criminal minds function.

“I don’t condone the hostile crimes of serial killers by any means — I am simply intrigued as to why they do it,” Chamberlain said.

Chamberlain said her fascination with serial killers inspired her to study forensic psychology.

She said her family members were “initially surprised” by the tats, but they don’t judge her for having them — and they shouldn’t be considered a reflection of her own character.

“Thousands of people each year get fictional characters tattooed on them like Hannibal and Freddy Krueger,” said Chamberlain. “They are all serial killers yet this portrayal is accepted as it’s not real — now riddle me that.”
