Accused cop killer Lashawn McNeil blamed his mother for being blind in one eye and argued with her over wild anti-government conspiracy theories before she called police for help, law enforcement sources told The Post Saturday.
McNeil got deeper into conspiracy theories after moving to New York City in November and even believed he was god and no one could tell him what to do, according to sources familiar with his rantings.
His mother, Shirley Sourzes, called police for help Friday night saying “He has problems,” sources said.
The mom also said McNeil blamed her for being blind in one eye, sources said. It’s unclear how the condition happened.
He is accused of shooting two of the responding officers, killing rookie cop Jason Rivera, 22, and critically wounding officer Wilbert Mora, 27, before he was shot by a third cop.
McNeil remained in at Harlem Hospital Saturday where sources said he had no sign of brain activity.
His social media accounts feature anti-cop and conspiracy theory posts including a video called “Hands Up” from 2014 where two men are shown pointing guns at a police officer. It is a tribute to Eric Garner.
A December 2017 post to one of McNeil’s Facebook pages shows a video of an unidentified man arguing with a child protective services worker as two cops look on. It’s called “Man Destroys Cops and CPS Agent.”
McNeil wrote in the post “Learn the law this is why.”
He also reposted a rant from a man who calls himself a music producer– MoBeatz — about demonic possession by people in Hollywood.
The video says “Every parasite needs a host. For example, the white man needs a host. He’s melatonin deficient. He can’t survive under the sun so he uses you as a host. by stealing our kids and taking their organs.”
He also “liked” an anti-Semitic propaganda video from Trinidad.
McNeil, a convicted felon with a lengthy rap sheet, tried to convert others to believe in his conspiracies, including his family, after moving back to the Big Apple, sources said.
McNeil, 47, who was born in Queens, was raised by his grandmother after his parents divorced, sources said.
He moved to South Carolina in his early 20s, got married and started a family, according to sources.
The later moved to Pennsylvania and then Maryland where he became involved in anti-government groups, source said.
His mother brought him to New York City in November to help out with his disabled brother.
