I thought my partner was proposing but the truth was mortifying

Christmas can be a very romantic time, with many people proposing to their partners.

But the situation was very different for one woman, whose romantic gift left her more than a little disappointed.

Savannah, 23, shared a video to TikTok of her opening her Christmas present from her boyfriend – but it didn’t exactly go to plan.

Savannah and her boyfriend were enjoying their Christmas Day in their PJs and were sat with their family opening gifts. 

As Savannah opened her present she quickly exclaimed “What?!” and thought that her gift was a sign that her boyfriend was about to propose.

Savannah asked: “Are you proposing?” 

He quickly said: “Wait woah, woah. That’s not the one!” 

Savannah’s boyfriend made a huge mistake when ordering her gift and instead of ordering plant pots saying ‘Best nurse ever’ he accidentally ordered the ones that said ‘Best wife ever’. 

Her boyfriend looked at the gift and shouted: “That’s not the one! It was supposed to say nurse! Oh my god! No!” 

Savannah, her boyfriend and their family, were left in fits of laughter at the blunder and her boyfriend was quick to get online to swap the pots for the correct ones.

He said: “Keep the box, we’re returning it.” 

Savannah said: “He was quick to order the actual one…” 

It’s safe to say, we feel pretty embarrassed for him…

Savannah’s video has clearly made a lot of people chuckle as it has gone viral and has racked up a whopping 5.9million views. 

It has 612k likes, 2,262 likes and 18.9k shares.

TikTok users were left in hysterics at the man’s awkward mistake. 

One person said: “The speed with which he pulls that receipt on his phone!”

A TikToker observed: “If you pause the video, you can see his actual soul leave his body.” 

Another added: “Poor guy that’s hilarious.”

A third commented: “This is soo funny.” 

Another said: “I’m so embarrassed.”
