Plot

Dalíland, directed by Mary Harron, is a biopic about the life of Salvador Dalí in the 1970s. The film follows James Linton (Briney), a fictionalized gallery assistant who meets the aging artist Salvador Dali and helps him prepare for a big show in New York. The cast includes Ben Kingsley as Salvador Dalí, Barbara Sukowa, Ezra Miller, Christopher Briney, Rupert Graves, Alexander Beyer, Andreja Pejic, and Suki Waterhouse. The movie is set to release on June 9, 2023, as a limited release along with 17 other movies, including Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

Cast

The cast of Dalíland features a talented ensemble of actors. Ben Kingsley, a renowned actor, plays the identifying role of Salvador Dalí, while Barbara Sukowa portrays his wife, Gala. Ezra Miller plays a young Dalí and Christopher Briney plays a young gallery assistant, with Rupert Graves, Alexander Beyer, Andreja Pejic, and Suki Waterhouse rounding out the film’s cast.

Reviews

The film has garnered mixed reviews from critics. Directed by Mary Harron, known for her work in I Shot Andy Warhol and American Psycho, the film has been praised for its cast performances and its portrayal of Salvador Dalí’s life in the 1970s. Set to release in theaters and video-on-demand on June 9, 2023, Dalíland is expected to be a must-watch for fans of both biopics and Salvador Dalí.
