Studies have shown music helps speed up the physical healing process in human beings. For Austrian composer Walter Werzowa, the research has proven to be true.

After personally witnessing his five-year old son diagnosed with a severe illness, Werzowa confessed in an interview with NYC Daily Post that music played a significant role in accelerating the healing process.

“Music is not just for emotions. It’s for health. When my son was five years old, he had a diagnosis with a severe illness, and music was very important in his rapid healing,” said Werzowa.

Werzowa gives back to the world

Having witnessed the healing power of music for his son, Werzowa says he has since committed to helping others find healing through music.

“l am trying to give back now, and I think music is for everyone which is why I made it a non-profit,” added Mr. Werzowa.

His passion for music and helping people led Werzowa to establish a non-profit organization HealthTunes, an innovative online streaming audio service which aims to improve physical and mental well-being through the power of music.

According to Werzowa, patients using HealthTunes check-in on the online platform with a diagnosis and select their preferred musical genre. He said he has witnessed in some cases a 70% reduction of illnesses such as epilepsy.

When making music, only medical research from knowledgeable medical facilities is considered when composing music therapy treatments. In pursuit of its objectives, HealthTunes partnered with Prenuvo MRI Scan.

Werzowa hopes to help epileptic patients through music

Speaking of his future endeavors, Werzowa mentioned he is currently working on an epilepsy study with various university clinics. His aim now is to find ways he can best create new music with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help epileptic patients.

“We are in the middle of an epilepsy study with a university clinic in Munich, Germany and Brno, Slovakia. We want to find out ways to generate new music with Artificial Intelligence to help epileptic patients,” added Werzowa.

Walter Werzowa plans to compose more Johann Strauss waltzes

On the creative side, Werzowa stated he is working on Johann Strauss waltzes. With the coming Strauss 200 year anniversary, Werzowa hopes to compose more waltzes with AI to create new Viennese Waltzes. He described the project as “interesting.”

Werzowa, an expert in the music industry, further highlighted the significance of music in accelerating the healing process. Drawing from his expertise, he emphasized how music can play a vital role in promoting healing and well-being.

Music has the ability to evoke powerful emotions and create a sense of connection. Through its melodies, rhythms and lyrics, music can bring comfort, joy and solace. It can enhance cognitive function, memory and creativity, allowing individuals to tap into their inner resources and facilitate the healing process.
